WHO WE ARE

The Society for Intelligence Management (SIM) is an independent, international association for professionals, organizations, and individuals who practice and promote evidenced based knowledge translation, education and training, communication, and decision making.  

 

Established in 2022, the SIM is the first and only international association advancing and expanding the practice of intelligence management - the collection, curation, analysis, translation, and communication of knowledge - to promote trustworthy information environments. 

 

The SIM supports new research, facilitates knowledge translation and exchange, informs policy and ethics at all levels, develops education and training standards, and builds networks for information and infodemic managers, organizations, allied professionals from various fields including, public health, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, journalism and communications, political science and government, behavioural sciences, psychology, environmental sciences, cyber security, as well as professional trainees and individuals with an interest in intelligence management.

Our mission is to renew and strengthen public confidence in good governance and support trustworthy information environments by facilitating, promoting and advocating for: 

• Accountable practices in the pursuit, translation, and communication of new knowledge.

• Sound public and corporate policies, and ethical standards on the use of intelligence-based technologies.

• Development of evidence based standards for intelligence management education and training of professionals and trainees.
